While adult creators face strict account restrictions on Instagram, Meta permits its AI agent Muse to generate explicit text for adult users.

Meta's new tool and attitude
The tool, called Muse, acts as a personal digital assistant that can access personal data such as calendars and emails. A Meta spokesperson said the company does not prevent lawful adult activity and allows the system to generate sexually explicit text, although it does not create related images or videos.
The contrast with the treatment of creators
This approach has drawn backlash from industry insiders. Vanniall, a content creator from New York, has struggled to build an audience on Instagram as her account, which has more than 100.000 followers, is being restricted. Jiz Lee and Tony Genius, also creators, have faced post deletions and account bans.
Tony Genius is on his seventh account in five years, although he is open to working with a tech company to create a digital version of himself. For her part, Vanniall advises people not to download the Muse app and not to give Meta any more money or personal information.
