Apple has launched HomeView, a 7-inch smart display utilizing the A18 SoC and integrated Siri AI.
The device features a 12MP Center Stage camera and lacks physical inputs, relying instead on voice and touch interaction.
It supports user-specific content through biometric recognition and requires periodic authentication via companion iOS/iPadOS devices.
The hardware is shipping in desktop and wall-mount variants on November 13th.
Available models and design
HomeView is released in two different versions:
- A desktop version with a stand that has a built-in speaker.
- A wall-mounted version.
The device has no physical buttons. It is operated exclusively via the touchscreen and voice commands.
Personalization and security
The device uses facial and voice recognition to distinguish which user is in front of it and display personalized content accordingly. For security reasons, HomeView periodically requires the unlocking of an iPhone or iPad belonging to the user in order to continue operating.
Camera and communication
HomeView includes a 12MP camera that supports Center Stage mode. This feature allows the camera to automatically follow the user during video calls, keeping them in the center of the frame.
Availability and price
HomeView will be available on November 13th for $299. Pre-orders for the device began on October 13th, 2026.
