Apple has detailed its iPhone 18 lineup, built on the 2nm A20 Pro chip featuring a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU, and dual 16-core Neural Engine.

The release covers hardware specifications, dimensions, battery benchmarks, and the debut of the foldable iPhone Duo.

How much do the new models cost?

The standard models come in a variety of prices depending on storage. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1.199 for 256GB and goes up to $1.999 for 2TB. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1.299 for 256GB and goes up to $2.499 for 2TB.

The foldable model, called the iPhone Duo, is more expensive, costing an extra $800 compared to the standard model. Its price starts at $1.999 for 256GB and goes up to $3.199 for 2TB.

Design and appearance

The classic phones are coming in new colors, including burgundy and gray-white. The foldable phone is the company's first to open like a book, has a titanium hinge, and comes in white and dark blue.

All devices feature water and dust resistance, high-strength protective glass, and a magnetic mounting and charging system. The foldable is slightly heavier, while the classic models have specific dimensions and weight.

Screens and display capabilities

The regular phones have 6,3-inch and 6,9-inch displays. The foldable model has two displays: a 5,4-inch outer display and a 7,6-inch inner display that folds out and has a special coating to reduce reflections.

All three devices offer smooth image movement, an always-on display for essential information, and very high brightness for use in sunlight.

Performance and battery

All three devices feature the same powerful processor, large memory, and cooling system to prevent overheating. They also include modern wireless networking capabilities and satellite emergency communication.

In terms of battery life, the classic models offer excellent autonomy that reaches many hours depending on use. The foldable has a battery divided into two parts and offers up to several hours of video playback.

The differences in cameras

The regular models feature a triple 48MP camera system, offering flexible shooting and zoom options. The foldable features a dual 48MP camera system, without a separate telephoto lens, as well as separate cameras on the front and inside.

Software and availability

Traditional phones use the standard operating system. In contrast, the foldable runs a specially adapted version of the software that allows the use of two apps side by side on the internal screen, as well as the use of a special stylus.

The classic models are already available on the market, while the foldable iPhone Duo is expected to be released in October.
