Blue Origin is scaling up its aerospace manufacturing infrastructure with a 330 million dollar expansion at its Florida Rocket Park.
Scheduled for completion by mid-2027, the facility will support the production of upper stages for the New Glenn rocket family alongside new launch pads and recovery vessels.
The first step is a $330 million expansion of Rocket Park, near Kennedy Space Center. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027 and will support the construction of up to 150 upper stages for the New Glenn 9×4. The current model, the New Glenn 7×2, has flown three times, landing the booster section on the Jacklyn ship.
Launch pads and new ships
Blue Origin is re-opening Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and is planning a total of four launch pads. It is also working to procure two additional landing platform ships for Port Canaveral.
Back to flights and customers
An explosion on a launch pad in May destroyed New Glenn's infrastructure and grounded the vehicle. Jeff Bezos said in an interview in October that the company aims to return the rocket to flight in December.
