Lego is turning the iconic Daft Punk 2007 Alive tour pyramid into an official set, evolving a fan-built model from a 2020 design contest created by Patrick and son.
Lego is working directly with the original creator on the final product.
The new product is based on an idea that won a Lego competition in 2020. The original design was created by a father and son from Luxembourg during the pandemic restrictions. It included around 2.000 pieces and featured an internal rotating structure with transparent bricks to represent the impressive concert stage. The company is now working closely with the creator of the original model, Patrick Harboun, to shape the final version.
The news was initially announced via a YouTube livestream and was accompanied by a short video of the two artists' miniatures setting up their console to the sounds of their well-known songs. Lego's marketing director hinted that this collaboration is just the beginning of future activities.
So far, the company has not revealed the price or release date of the set, but it said that more information will be revealed in 2027.
