The documentary You Can See Everything achieved a 15 million dollar opening weekend across 855 theaters, marking the second-largest documentary debut in box office history.
The project features extensive access to Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes prior to her imprisonment.
The film is showing in 855 theaters and had approximately 2.000 sold-out screenings. It is also receiving extremely positive reviews, maintaining a 99% rating on well-known rating platforms.
Access to Elizabeth Holmes
Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in prison for defrauding investors at Theranos. The new documentary stands out because its creators, including Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, had extensive access to her and her family in the month before she went to prison.
The film premiered in a secret screening at the Telluride Film Festival in September. Other tech-related films, such as “The Social Reckoning” and the documentary “Musk,” have underperformed at the box office.
