Elon Musk's recent post on X highlighted the risks of sharing raw screenshots after an AI shopping assistant demo inadvertently exposed personal details, including addresses and partial card data, prompting quick reactions from users.
The AI tool successfully completed the order using Musk's credit card. The image it uploaded showed the order number, billing and shipping addresses, and the last four digits of his credit card. Users of the platform immediately spotted the error and pointed it out in the comments.
Musk's response to the address
In response to the backlash, Musk said that the address has been made public many times in the past in media and official documents. He even clarified that this is where his security team receives his mail and not his place of residence. Musk's original post remained active.
