Fedora Linux 45 has delayed its official release by one week, moving from October 20 to October 27 following a no-go decision due to an unavailable release candidate.
The next readiness evaluation is scheduled for October 22, while the September beta continues to feature Linux kernel 7.2, GNOME 51, and stricter RPM signature verifications.
The decision was announced by the project's operations manager, Aoife Moloney, following the team's crucial meeting on October 15, where the system was deemed unsuitable for the original timeline.
What's next for the schedule?
The next meeting of the group is scheduled for Thursday, October 22. At this meeting, the situation will be re-evaluated.
The October 27th date remains a target and there may be a further delay if the tests fail.
