Google has announced the Fitbit Edge, a $179.99 wearable positioned between the Fitbit Air and Pixel Watch.
The device features an OLED display, integrated GPS, and expanded health tracking capabilities backed by Google Health Coach and Gemini integration.
Pre-orders are open now ahead of its October 27 release.
The new model costs $179,99 and features an OLED display. Through the display, users can control their music, see the weather, their notifications, and maps.
The watch includes access to Google's digital health assistant, powered by Gemini technology and requiring a Google Health Premium subscription. The assistant uses health and fitness data to create weekly training plans tailored to the user's needs.
The device also features the Health Guardian feature, which tracks changes in health metrics over time, including markers related to blood pressure and insulin resistance.
Fitbit Edge can automatically recognize up to 100 activities and supports over 50 exercise modes, while offering on-screen guidance during your workout.
According to the company, the built-in GPS positioning system is 40% more accurate compared to the previous generation, while sleep stage detection is improved by 15%. The watch's battery can last up to seven days on a single charge, and the device is water resistant to a depth of up to 50 meters.
The watch is available for pre-order through Google's online store, with official availability starting on October 27. It is available in Obsidian, Fog, Olive, and Canyon colors, while a special Stephen Curry edition is also being released at a price of $219,99.
