Google releases new Gemini 4 Argon AI model for everyone

Google released Gemini 4 Argon, its latest AI model, featuring developer access via the Gemini API and Antigravity platform.

Benchmarks show it matching competitive intelligence scores at reduced introductory pricing.

The new system was initially released to governments and select partners, but developers can now use it through Google’s developer tools. Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers can also access it through the Gemini app and the AI feature in Search.

Subscription costs and developer fees

In the United States, Google AI Pro costs $20 per month, while the Ultra plan starts at $100 per month. For those using it for app development, the price is temporarily set at $2 per million input words and $10 per million output words. These prices are an introductory offer that will be valid until November 30, when they will double.

Capabilities and performance

The company initially planned to release another interim version, but eventually went straight to Argon. According to Google, the new model can handle complex tasks in finance, programming, writing, and system protection.

An independent AI evaluation firm reported that Argon achieves excellent performance in tests, reaching the levels of competing systems at significantly lower costs, based on bid prices.

According to company executives, through the Gemini application, the new model responds faster and with fewer repetitions or formulae. It can also display answers even while processing larger and more complex requests. At the same time, the company is adding special programming tools to the application for Mac computers.
