Major carriers announce monthly pricing models for Apple's iPhone Handoff feature, which allows users to share a single phone number across two compatible iPhone devices with automatic context-based switching.
How much does the service cost per company?
Verizon has confirmed that it will charge its subscribers $10 per month for the new feature. In the United States, T-Mobile also supports the service, with its price being exactly half that of Verizon.
In the UK, EE plans to charge £5 (about $6,70) per month, while offering it for free to subscribers on the most expensive £47 (about $63) per month plan.
In Germany, Deutsche Telekom offers the feature as an add-on service that costs 6,95 euros (about $7,90) per month. However, this charge is not for everyone, as the company includes the feature for free in its MagentaMobil L and XL contract plans.

What devices are needed and how does it work?
To use the new feature, you need an iPhone 11 or later, or iPhone SE second-generation and later.
A phone number can only be active on one iPhone at a time. This means that both devices can't make calls or use data at the same time. The number automatically switches which phone it's active on depending on which device the user unlocks, while other connections, like the Apple Watch, remain tied to a single device.
