Myrlyn 1.1 released with easier source management and notifications

Myrlyn 1.1 brings new features to its Qt and libzypp-based package manager for openSUSE, introducing bulk repository protection toggles, system reboot notifications, structured version tables, and improved dark-theme support.

The most important addition is two new buttons to protect and unprotect all software sources. Protecting a source helps exclude programs from external sources, such as Packman, VideoLAN, or NVIDIA, from updates, to reduce incompatibility issues.

Restart notifications and appearance changes

The program now displays a notification on the summary page when a system restart is required. This notification is based on a relevant system file and can be disabled through the program settings.

In terms of appearance, the source view has new filters to separate installed and uninstalled programs, and the installation summary section has been renamed to status. The version details panel now uses a structured table, with the newest available versions highlighted in blue. Version 1.1 also includes a new logo that adapts to any screen, better support for a dark theme with special icons, and larger icons in the pattern view.
