Netflix is expanding its sports broadcasting footprint by securing exclusive rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra.
The deal covers all 104 matches and includes comprehensive pre- and post-game studio coverage.
The infrastructure will support both exclusive subscription access and free-to-air delivery for specific mandated games via national broadcasters, ensuring compliance with local market regulations.
To comply with local laws, Netflix will be offering one free match per day on free-to-air channels. The free matches will include every game involving the Spanish national team, the two semi-finals and the final. The remaining matches in the tournament will require a subscription to the service.
What else does the coverage include?
Coverage will include pre-game, halftime and post-game broadcasts, as well as a daily recap broadcast on game days.
Netflix had previously secured the broadcast rights in the United States for the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cups. The announcement was made on October 13, 2026.
