Apple updated the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip, introducing a 12-core CPU, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6 support.
The base model starts at $1,999 with 16GB of RAM due to memory shortages, with configurations scaling up to 32GB of memory and 4TB of storage.
The new processor brings 12 cores to the computer, up from 10 in the previous model. Compared to older models with the 2020 M1 processor, the new one offers up to 11 times faster graphics and up to 13 times faster performance in artificial intelligence tasks.
Compared to last year's model, the new computer offers up to 30% faster graphics and up to 25% faster performance in similar tasks. The new model also features support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, while its battery lasts up to 24 hours, remaining the same as last year's model.
Buyers can choose configurations with 24 or 32 gigabytes of memory, as well as storage up to 4 terabytes, options that can push the final price above $4.000. At the same time, the company introduced a refreshed iMac desktop computer with the same processor, as well as a new, smaller tablet with an OLED display. Pre-orders for the new products have already begun, with their official release scheduled for November 6.
