New diamond cooling system promises cooler AI processors

Frore Systems introduced the LiquidJet Diamond liquid-cooling coldplate series, featuring a diamond surface paired with a 3D short-loop jet-channel microstructure.

Built for next-gen AI hardware like AMD Instinct and Nvidia Rubin, it targets high power densities, lower operating temperatures, and improved power efficiency.

According to the company, the new system can handle extremely high heat areas of up to 770 watts per square centimeter, for Nvidia Rubin processors with a total power of 2.300 watts. Using this technology can reduce processor temperatures by up to 22 degrees Celsius compared to conventional cooling systems, while also promising an improvement in performance per watt of up to 35%.

How does it differ from previous solutions?

The new offering joins the company's previous products, such as the original LiquidJet and the LiquidJet Nexus for Nvidia Blackwell and Rubin systems. Unlike the Nexus, which integrates multiple cooling systems into one large single structure, the LiquidJet Diamond is made to be installed separately on each individual processor.
