PeakDo announced the LinkPower Ultra battery bank for the Starlink Mini, introducing active cooling with a built-in fan that engages at 52°C and semi-solid-state cells for thermal safety.
Cooling system and safety
The main upgrade includes a built-in cooling system with a fan that automatically turns on when the temperature reaches 52 degrees Celsius and turns off when it drops to 45 degrees. In addition, the battery uses special elements internally for greater safety against hazards in the event that the device is punctured.
Despite being slimmed down to 22mm from the 27mm of previous models, it offers up to 5,5 hours of battery life. Its capacity reaches 99,9 watt-hours, just under the 100 watt-hour limit allowed by airline regulations for passenger luggage. It also has the ability to remotely check its status via a wireless network.
Price and availability
The new accessory is priced at $329, with the company offering a $30 discount for the first ten days. The first batch is being shipped from China with an estimated delivery time of 7 to 15 days for the United States, while PeakDo plans to make the product available on Amazon's platform in early November.
