Samsung has submitted FCC filings for the Galaxy T1, a new set of unannounced earbuds.
The hardware documentation indicates the inclusion of sports loops, a design choice aimed at securing the buds during exercise.
This marks a potential re-entry into the fitness-specific audio market for the company, as their current flagship lineup lacks dedicated physical stabilizers for high-intensity activity.
The headphones appear in the documents under the name Samsung Galaxy T1, which is likely a codename before their final release. The device will reportedly feature special ear-hugging earcups. This design helps the headphones stay firmly in place even during intense movement, such as running or exercising.
With this move, Samsung seems to be returning to a product category it had left behind. Previously, the company had the Gear fitness line, but that has long since been retired. Since then, Samsung has not released dedicated workout headphones, as its current models, such as the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, do not have special supports for intense exercise.
Although the Galaxy Buds On have already been released, the T1s are a different device, designed to fill a gap in the company's sports equipment.
