Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo 2: The hybrid camera that prints only what you choose

Fujifilm's newly released Instax Mini Evo 2 is a hybrid digital-instant camera featuring a 4.5-inch touchscreen and a suite of 100 custom filter/lens effect combinations.

The system captures at 6MP or 12MP, stores files internally or via microSD, and communicates with iOS/Android devices for remote printing.

This update integrates mobile-to-camera connectivity with traditional hardware-based instant printing workflows.

Features and ease of use

The camera features a 4,5-inch touchscreen, which is a first for this series. Through the settings on the device, the user can combine 10 color filters and 10 lens effects, creating a total of 100 different looks for their shots.

In terms of technical capabilities, the resolution of photos reaches 6MP in the standard mode and 12MP in the wide-angle mode. There is also the ability to shoot short videos (4 seconds), although this mode does not support audio or image stabilization.

Save and print

The camera prints on Instax Mini film. The internal memory can store about 45 photos, while there is a microSD card slot for those who need more space. The device's battery charges via a USB-C port and its endurance is estimated at about 200 photos and 20 prints per full charge.

Mobile connection

Through the Instax Evo app (available on Android and iOS), users can control the camera remotely or print photos from their mobile phone. However, there is a limitation to data transfer: users can only transfer photos that have already been printed from the camera to their mobile phone.
