The Hisense UltraSlim 8,000 BTU window AC unit implements a split-housing architectural approach to separate the compressor from the internal assembly, achieving 37dB noise levels.

From a smart home perspective, the device offers Matter compatibility and integrates with HomeKit, Google, and Alexa ecosystems.

Data-driven energy management is facilitated via the ConnectLife app.

The unit supports four operational modes and is currently distributed exclusively through Costco.

Design and placement

The device separates its parts, placing the compressor on the outside of the window. Thus, the part that remains inside the room is much thinner and more discreet. The air conditioner weighs approximately 23 kg and is suitable for windows with a width of 63,5 to 98 cm. For installation, a support base is necessary that must be tilted outwards, so that water can drain properly.

Performance and operation

The Hisense UltraSlim is designed for rooms up to 33 square meters. It has four modes: Cool, Fan, Dry and Eco. On the lowest setting, the noise level reaches 37 decibels.

Smart features

The device has built-in Wi-Fi and supports the Matter standard, which makes it compatible with smart home systems such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Through the ConnectLife application, the user can monitor the energy consumption of the device. It is noted that the air conditioner does not support automation via the IFTTT service.
