Founded by CEO Michelle Masek and communications manager Nadia Jamshidi, the tool was designed to automate processes like writing press releases, finding journalists, and finding public speaking opportunities.

According to the founders, the platform is aimed at marketing professionals, investors, writers, content creators and organizational leaders who undertake communication tasks.

Honeyjar is participating in the TechCrunch Disrupt conference as part of the Startup Battlefield 200 competition. When the company opened its waiting list, it garnered 10.000 signups within the first 24 hours. Testers of the service include companies such as Nextdoor, Coco Robotics, Bloomberg Beta, Mission North and Full Picture.

Responding to concerns about the potential increase in automated messaging to journalists, the founders stressed that a human remains essential for sending messages. Additionally, the company is developing the Comms Lab to train the product in strategic judgment by experienced professionals.
