Apple has unveiled its new MacBook Pro lineup, marking the official introduction of touchscreen displays to the professional laptop series.
Equipped with the M5 Max chip, the systems feature an 18-core CPU and 40-core GPU.
The pricing structure scales significantly with optional upgrades, reaching up to $14,549 for a fully specced 16-inch model.
Pre-orders for the hardware start October 30, 2026.
The prices of the top models
Users who opt for the more powerful configurations will have to shell out significantly more. The fully upgraded 14-inch model costs $14.249, while the corresponding 16-inch version costs $14.549. For comparison, the corresponding more expensive 16-inch model of the previous generation cost $10.149.
The new models incorporate the M5 Max processor, which has 18 cores for central processing and 40 cores for graphics. The high final cost is mainly influenced by additional upgrade options:
- Storeroom: The option for 16TB of storage costs an additional $7.000.
