Withings now charges for automatic health data transfer to new users

Withings has restricted automatic third-party health data integration, specifically impacting Apple Health sync for accounts created after October 13, 2026.

The functionality is now locked behind the Withings+ subscription tier, priced at 100 USD/year.

Users without the subscription must now rely on manual data export and import workflows to integrate their health metrics.

This change in service policy does not affect pre-existing accounts.

Who does the change affect?

The new rules only apply to those who created a Withings account from October 13, 2026 onwards. Existing users, meaning those who had an account before this date, are not affected and continue to use the services as before.

What does this mean in practice?

For new users who do not wish to pay for the subscription, automatic data updates to other health apps are no longer available. If someone wants to view their data on another platform, they will now have to manually export and import their data.

Withings confirmed the change via an official update on the company's support forum, clarifying that automatic data transfer is now included in its paid service package.
