Xbox is testing paid cloud gaming blocks for non-subscribers in its Insider program, introducing hourly tiers starting at $4 for 10 hours alongside upcoming monthly streaming limits for current subscribers.
Time packages and prices
Participants can purchase access to game time packages. These prices are considered temporary and are set at $4 for 10 hours, $8 for 25 hours, and $12 for 50 hours. The time purchased is not forfeited and remains available until it is used up.
This time purchase offers perks like ad-free gameplay, shorter wait times, and high-quality visuals. In addition, since last summer, members of the testing program have been able to try an alternative game option that included ads for free.
Changes for existing subscribers
Next month, subscribers to the service will start seeing new limits on the time they can play each month, which will range from 5 to 15 hours.
