Languages That Don't Dogfood πŸ€”

Here are 4 popular programming languages that don't use their own technologies on their documentation and or marketing sites.

Swift

No surprise here from Apple 😬.

Kotlin

Really JetBrains? You have a variety of good web frameworks for Kotlin, Ktor, which you write yourself.

Scala

Not much I can expect from Scala I guess.

Zig

A new player on the block but surprisingly they chose not to use Zig

Many of these sites could have chosen to use their technology to run a web framework or a server. Alternatively just a basic static site generator built with their technology could suffice.

I reviewed 19 different languages and if you want to review the full list check out the google sheet.
