A while back I got tired of installing yet another bloated "suite" just to read a PDF or glance at a Markdown file. So I started turning my little scripts into web tools and grouped them under one roof: MutantCat.org (yes, named after a slightly weird-looking cat 🐱).
What it is
A small collection of lightweight, browser-based utilities. No installs, no popups, no "sign up to continue".
A few I actually use
- CowCowClock — a minimal focus clock (the mascot is a cow, long story)
- PDF / Markdown / LaTeX readers — open a file, read it, done
- Online whiteboard — scratch out ideas
- IconPin — upload a photo, get a perler-bead (拼豆) pattern you can export. Free.
- FishMusic, Honeycomb (offline toolbox), BoardGameAssistant — small but handy
Why
I'd rather ship a tool that does one thing and loads fast than a dashboard that nags you. Everything free is labeled free; everything else just works in the browser.
