We Built a Solutions After Hearing Students Struggle With Academic Score Conversion

A small idea from student questions that turned into a useful solution for applications, resumes, and future opportunities

While talking with students about their academic journeys, we noticed one question coming up again and again: “How do I represent my academic score correctly when a form asks for a different format?”

It sounds like a simple problem, but many students face confusion when they move between universities, apply for jobs, prepare resumes, or submit applications for higher studies. Different institutions follow different grading methods, and understanding how one system relates to another is not always clear.

That is why we decided to create a CGPA into Percentage converter that helps students understand their academic scores better and help make the process less complicated.

When starting our project, the aim was not to simply build another. We wanted to address a real-world problem which students face on the day-to-day. A lot of students tend to look for the formulas, check out a website and at sometimes they are also confused whether they used or followed correct method.

The academic evaluation systems can vary in various institutions. In some colleges, the calculations will be done with grade points and in others based on marks or percentage. We have differences and because of this students need to make sure they on their university is official guidelines before submitting any final academic information.

But this could save you time and prevent a lot of stress by having an easy reference to get the general idea behind these formats.

And we found students focusing only on the final number and losing sight of bigger picture. Graded academic performance is important, however skills/ projects/internships and hands-on experience go hand-in-hand for better career prospects.

Having a very user-friendly tool will allow students to collate their data and be better prepared when applying for opportunities.

Everything about this project is based on listening to real students ask questions. Oftentimes, the best tools are not born from grand ideas but out of simple problems that people face every day.
