Mixpanel Spends 29 Links on Self-Redirects. Auth0, Okta, and Segment Barely Touch One.

Latest round of the site-crawl series: ran the free RankForge crawler against four identity/analytics platforms — auth0.com, okta.com, segment.com, and mixpanel.com — 10 pages each, starting from the homepage. One of the four burns nearly a third of its captured internal links on redirects that go nowhere.

What I ran

No account needed, so this is reproducible:

• POST https://rankforge.cc/api/analyzer with {"seed_url": "..."}, then poll GET /api/analyzer/<id> until status is completed.
• The crawler follows internal links breadth-first from the seed, caps at 10 pages for the anonymous tier, audits every internal redirect to its final destination (hop count included), and classifies every outbound external link as followed or nofollowed.
• Raw JSON for all four runs: content/analyzer_20261003b_<host>.json.

mixpanel.com: 7 redirects, 29 links spent, 3 orphan pages on top

Every tracked redirect is a single-hop 301/302 — /about and /customers each carry 10 inbound links into a redirect, /legal/app-store-privacy-details and /legal/ai-compliance 3 each, /legal/cdpa 1, /customers/all 1, plus the homepage itself 308-redirecting / to /home (1 inbound). 29 affected links total, 0 multi-hop. The crawl also flagged 3 orphan pages with zero inbound internal links: /best-product-analytics, /developer, and /free-plan — a free-plan page nothing on the first 10 pages links to.

okta.com: 2 redirects, 2 links, and the thinnest internal authority of the batch

Only 2 redirects surfaced — the bare apex okta.com/ 301-redirecting to www.okta.com/ (1 inbound link from a whitepaper page), and one video page that redirects to its own identical URL (1 inbound). Small in absolute terms, but okta.com also posted the lowest average internal authority score of the four sites crawled (22.51, versus 73.3 for auth0.com), with 8 of the 9 scored pages landing in the weakest 20%.

/ai 308-redirects to /solutions/ship-ai-agents, with 2 inbound links from /architectural-playbook/identity and /b2b-saas following it there. 3 orphan pages turned up in the same crawl: /b2b-enterprise-identity-management, /availability-trust, and /app-modernization.

segment.com: zero redirects, zero orphans

The cleanest of the four — no internal redirects and no orphan pages detected across the 10 pages crawled.
