Context: I sell small digital ops kits from a one-person store. No team, no VC, no ads budget. What made it viable wasn't a growth hack — it was borrowing shift-work discipline from operations teams and running my store like it's a small production line.
The core of the playbook:
- Every day is a shift with 5 fixed checks: storefront health, inventory sanity, traffic log, one published content piece, conversion review. Total time: about an hour.
- Every shift must end with an outward move — something a stranger can see. A published article, a sent email, a live page. If the shift produced only internal notes, it doesn't count.
- Failures get drills. When something breaks (dead checkout link, expired token, wrong price on a page), I write a 5-line recovery drill for it. Now the same failure never costs me a full day again.
- Boring beats clever. My best-converting assets are plain checklists and templates, because that's what people actually finish and use.
If you're solo and drowning in admin, I'd genuinely start with just the first three checks — storefront, inventory, traffic log. That trio alone caught three silent store-breakers in my first week of running it this way.

Also happy to answer questions — running a store solo is mostly an ops problem wearing a marketing costume.
