I’m Hamed, the developer behind HMDIA Login & Registration, a WordPress plugin for creating custom login, registration, password reset and account pages.
The goal is to make these pages feel like part of your website, while giving administrators control over registration, authentication and user access.
Here’s a look at what it does and how to get started.
Customize the forms your users interact with
The form builder lets you configure fields, change their order and preview the result. You can adjust the design to match your website and customize the account experience alongside your login and registration forms.
Email templates are customizable too, including verification messages, password resets and administrator notifications.
Choose how users register and sign in
Different websites need different registration workflows. Some allow users to register immediately, while others need email verification or administrator approval.
HMDIA Login & Registration provides options for those workflows, along with authentication methods across its free and Pro versions:
- Email and password.
- Passwordless sign-in using email codes or magic links.
- Passkeys and Google Sign-In.
- Two-factor authentication.
Spam protection options include Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA and honeypots.
Getting started
- Install the free plugin from WordPress.org and activate it.
- Run the setup wizard and configure your login, registration, password reset and account pages.
- Open Forms to customize the fields and appearance.
- Open Emails to personalize your email templates.
- Review your authentication and registration settings.
- Test the complete experience with a separate user account, including registration, sign-in and password reset.
When testing, check the forms on mobile as well as desktop, confirm that verification emails arrive, and make sure redirects lead to the intended pages.
Free and Pro options
The plugin runs on your own WordPress installation. A free version is available, with a Pro add-on for additional authentication and customization features.
I’d welcome feedback from other WordPress developers and website owners. What causes the most friction in your login or registration workflow?
