If you’ve ever managed property viewings—or tried to rent an apartment—you’ve experienced the scheduling headache.
It usually looks like this:
- 3 to 5 back-and-forth emails or messages to find a 30-minute opening.
- Manually cross-referencing multi-property calendars.
- Driving across town through traffic, standing outside the building... and getting ghosted.
When analyzing property management bottlenecks, one thing became clear: Generic booking apps (like Calendly) weren't designed for physical property workflows. They don't handle location context, automated engagement, or the high no-show rates unique to real estate viewings.
That’s why we started building Homview.
🛠️ The Tech & Operational Challenge
In real estate, ghosted appointments waste fuel, time, and pipeline velocity. From a software perspective, we needed to solve three key issues:
- Context-Driven Scheduling: Viewing slots aren't standard 30-minute meetings—they depend on property locations and availability windows.
- Automated No-Show Reduction: Standard calendar invites get buried. Implementing a multi-stage confirmation and automated reminder pipeline proved essential to keeping prospective tenants and buyers engaged.
- Unified Synchronization: Syncing multi-property schedules across personal and agency calendars to eliminate double-booking friction entirely.
🚀 Building in Public
As CEO, my goal with Homview is to streamline the property viewing pipeline from end to end so managers and agents can focus on closing deals rather than managing admin work.
We’re actively refining the platform, optimizing our workflow pipelines, and working on tighter calendar/CRM integrations.
I'd love to hear from other devs and SaaS founders in the community:
- Have you tackled complex calendar sync or automated scheduling workflows in your own apps?
- What tools or strategies do you use to keep automated reminders out of spam filters?
