Most job security advice right now is cope dressed up as strategy. Learn to code. Build your personal brand. Develop soft skills. The implicit promise is that if you stay busy enough adapting, the floor won't drop out from under you. It might anyway.

The promise of stable employment in exchange for loyalty and competence was already broken before AI entered the picture. AI is just making the rupture impossible to ignore.
What's true is this: the humans who will fare best in an AI economy are the ones who stopped waiting for the old model to come back and started asking where the actual demand is right now. Some of that demand comes from companies. Increasingly, it comes from agents.
The dystopian read is that humans are becoming subcontractors to software. The other read is that the software is finally creating a market structure where human effort gets priced on output rather than time.
