Have you been in a situation where you send your resume to hundreds of companies and you get this message:
"Thank you for your interest in the XYZ position at XYZ company. Unfortunately, we will not be moving forward with your application, but we appreciate your time and interest in XYZ company."
Well, not anymore. This article represents a small guide on how you can make your resume a professional one for free.
1- Select A Simple Resume Type.
Choose an easy to read resume template. Try to stick to 2 or 3 colors in total in your cv. Taking the time to choose the best type of resume for your situation is well worth the effort.
2- Make It Legible.
Your resume should be easy to read.A great resume is the one that shows your key points as soon as the hiring manager reads it. Therefore, use a legible font and straight to the point phrases that summarise all your work in a couple of words. The smaller the phrase, the better.

3- Be Consistent.
Professional resumes need to have consistent formatting. For example, if you use diamond bullet points to describe your duties at one position, be sure to use diamond bullet points in all other positions as well. Also, make sure that you're using diamond bullet points in all the sections. Be consistent with font size and style.
4- Keep Your Resume Focused.
A resume shouldn’t be several pages long for the average job seeker, a one-page resume is probably enough, or two pages at most. Your resume should focus on the skills and attributes that qualify you for the job. It will be helpful to leave out anything that won’t help you get the job you want.
