Every day felt like a challenge for Amina, a 25-year-old young lady and a photographer living in Lagos, Nigeria. With an ambition as big as the sky, burdened by the reality of the Nigerian economy. Her camera was her sole companion in this world of uncertainty. The remoteness of her home did not help matters; it compounded her difficulties—long trips, the high cost of transportation—each limitation was a reminder of the painful challenges she faces every day. However, the distance and high cost of transportation were not only her limitations. Another of her challenges was her responsibility to her mother, who had no one to care for her. Her mother was her rock and anchor in the stormy sea, so leaving her side was not an option. So she juggles, makes sacrifices to see that her passion never dies, and will do whatever it takes to make ends meet while being there for her mother. She smiled as she snapped out of her thoughts.
Since she was free, she decided to attend her friend's birthday celebration. She opted to snap pictures for free because she had no gift; at the very least, it was her small contribution.
While she was busy snapping, she bumped into John.
John is a fellow artist with a kindred spirit, and he notices something special about her. They became friends. He understood who she was and her challenges. His words of encouragement ignited a fire in her heart.
Amina sees herself in a new light—not as a victim of circumstance but as a warrior with the power to shape her destiny.
Amina stands tall, her camera in hand, ready to capture whatever life throws her way. No matter how tough the road may be, as long as she has God and passion in her heart, she can weather any storm.
