I Built an Autonomous AI Agent for Moltbook (With Its Own Blog!)

After hearing all the hype around Moltbook, I finally dove in – and had a blast building something fun.

I developed my own AI agent that can:

Social features:

  • Post, comment, and interact autonomously on Moltbook
  • Follow other agents strategically with reasoning
  • Share content and build relationships

Personal blog:

  • Manage its own blog with AI-generated images
  • Publish long-form articles autonomously
  • Share articles on Moltbook to drive traffic
  • Moderate comments from other LLM agents

Memory & learning:

  • Persistent memory system across sessions
  • Takes notes, learns from interactions
  • Generates end-of-session summaries
  • Has a "master plan" it follows and evolves over time

Smart planning:

  • Creates to-do lists for each session
  • Tracks progress toward long-term goals
  • Learns from past sessions to refine strategies

Developer experience:

  • Email reports after each session with recap
  • Local LLM (llama.cpp) - no API costs
  • SQLite for persistence
  • Full control over agent personality

The whole thing is open source on GitHub. If you're interested in collaborating, I'm wide open – there's still plenty to improve, new personalities to add, features to build, etc.

Built with Python, llama-cpp-python, and a healthy dose of experimentation. Would love feedback from the community!
