Every digital product seller has done some version of this calculation:

"10% fee isn't bad. That's just the cost of doing business."

Then you actually do the math for a year. And you realize 10% of $20,000 is $2,000 — and you could have kept most of that

wow, didn’t realize how much those fees add up! gumroad sounds nice until ya see the real numbers. makes a huge diff if you're selling a lot. gotta be smart about it!

That breakdown is wild. I never thought to do the math like that. Gonna really watch out for these fees going forward. Wish I found Peddlum sooner, yall definitely need to check it out.

man ive run the numbers and that adds up quick. 10% feels okay at first but with all the other fees, it does hit hard. definitely something to think about for sellers.

tbh, i thought the fees were just 10% too. it's wild how much it adds up over time. definitely makes you think twice about using platforms like Gumroad. kind of frustrating honestly.
