I built a habit tracker that doesn’t track anything

I get distracted easily.

And I have exactly the same problem with habits.

Every day brings a new urgent task. By the end of the day, there’s often neither the time nor the energy left for the things I actually wanted to do consistently.

At some point, I realized I didn’t need yet another habit tracker with a giant calendar, streaks, and progress charts.

I just needed to see one thing:

what matters today.

For example, I want to go to the gym three times a week.

If I’ve already been three times, why should the app keep showing me that workout for the rest of the week?

Or Portuguese. I only have time to study on Wednesdays and Fridays. So why would I want to see that task on Monday?

That’s why I built Yet Another Habit.

The app only shows the activities that are relevant today.

Not today? Don’t show it.

Already completed the required number of times this week? Don’t show it anymore.

Didn’t get to it today? Just skip it. The activity will come back on the next day when it actually matters.

And there’s one more thing I left out on purpose:

there are no stats.

No fancy charts, no streaks, no reports reminding you what a terrible person you’ve been for the last 27 days.

I think that when you’re building a habit, the process matters more than constantly measuring the result.

You open the app, see what matters right now, and focus on that.

I originally built Yet Another Habit just for myself, but eventually decided to share it and released it on the App Store.

Track. Don’t judge. Repeat.
