In that Codecademy often provides all the information that's needed, and leaves the rest for learners--promoting resourcefulness, projects have an on-the-job training feel, and this project was the first with no guidance other than a visual of the site with basic element sizes, etc.
After seeing several references to an html element named hero in Codecademy forums, I searched hero image and found it is a marketing term for a powerful visual that on websites is an oversized banner image.
Also by doing, I learned that links to images which are part of the site content are best put in index.html, while links to images that are decorous are best put in style.css. Codecademy being big on semantic html, I learned a lot today about code structure by reviewing code. Here's our specifications image.
