Why do ML Engineer's use transpose in ML

This may seem very non-relevant but I am a beginner in machine learning I am starting from math and the branch linear algebra the first topic was matrix transpose I understand that transposing the matrix simply means transforming rows into columns and the columns into rows if anyone could explain me the purpose kindly tell me (tell me is there any misconception in my understanding)
