We’re all familiar with the phrase ‘Design is king’.
And of course, there is no doubt in this phrase. As compared to app designing, app development is perceived to be more complex. But I've experienced that both of the processes have their own set of complications. As a mobile app developer and a UI/UX designer, I've always had a hard time figuring out an 'appropriate design for my mobile app', it just seems like really cumbersome task.
You have to make sure that your app's design is relevant to the type of app that you're developing.
So when I sit down to brainstorm my app design, I've developed a habit of looking for ideas and inspiration on Pinterest.
If you haven't used Pinterest before, let me tell you that some of the major mobile app development companies have a strong presence on Pinterest. You can come up with something really creative just by scrolling through some of the app design ideas.
It's as easy as using any other social media platforms. All you have to do is type in some keywords that are relevant to your app idea and you will come across hundreds of search results. For example, if I were to design a healthcare mobile app, I'd use search terms such as 'health app', 'health app design', 'hospital app design', etc.

I agree, I think pinterest is an underused resource in the product design space. There is a lot of inspiration on there to utilize. Invision's "Muzli" project has a great presence on pinterest. In particular, their boards: Mobile Interactions Design Inspiration, Mobile App Designs, Landing Page, and Micro Interactions.
Yes definitely.
