Hey everyone! I'm Jelaxsi , an undergrad at South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) 🇱🇰. I'm finally joining DEV, mostly because I'm tired of building things and never writing about them.
What I'm into
I like building stuff that solves real problems, especially around AI and IoT. A few things I've worked on:
- AgriMind AI: a voice-first farming companion for farmers who'd rather talk than type.
- SAFE-HIRE: an AI platform that flags fake job offers, built for South Asian job-seekers who keep getting scammed.
- FarmGuard: an ESP32-based farm decision and waste detection system for a hardware competition.
Community side
I'm the Director of Media & Community Outreach at the AWS Student Builder Group at SEUSL, and I've been my batch's academic rep for almost two years. I help run events and workshops to get more students building and entering competitions.
Why I'm here
- To learn in public and share what actually worked (and what broke).
- To join challenges like Hacktoberfest and ship real projects.
- To meet other student builders and get feedback on my work.
What you'll see from me
Project breakdowns, build logs, and honest lessons from hackathons and workshops. Expect some mistakes in there too.
If you're working on AI, IoT, or student community stuff, drop a comment. I'd love to connect and see what you're building! 🚀
