⚔️ Cutting Ego: The Path of Non-Attachment

封面

True practitioners are like swordsmen of the spirit. The sword of Prajna in their hands is not for killing living beings, but for severing the root of Samsara within the mind.

Origin of Prajna: Severing Delusion

At the beginning of practice, the most difficult things to handle are greed, anger, and ignorance. If one holds a sword but does not aim at the thief, they will be harmed. This means wisdom must be applied directly to the ego and the 'stealing mind'.

To 'kill one in ten steps' is a precise strike against wandering thoughts. Every moment a defilement arises is an opportunity for enlightenment. By cutting the continuity of thought, the false self vanishes and the chains of rebirth break.

Method of Contemplation: Walking Without Trace

When delusions are severed, the mind enters a state of 'a thousand miles without a trace'. This is not escaping the world, but maintaining absolute clarity. Like a wild goose crossing the sky, the water reflects the shadow without a heart to retain it.

The practice lies in the 'cessation of words and thoughts'. Engage fully in tasks, then let go immediately. Do not dwell on past gains or future worries; this present moment is eternal stillness. This requires constant vigilance like a cat catching a mouse.

Realization and Dedication: The Joy of Emptiness

When all attachments dissolve, the practitioner awakens from the dream of suffering. You will find that essentially nothing exists in the fruit of Buddhahood. This peace is the true joy beyond worldly pleasure.

May this sword of wisdom break all attachments and ignorance in the world. No matter the circumstances, let the mind be like the sun in the sky, illuminating everything without being stained by anything. Realize the ultimate freedom of space.
