PowerPoint Is Dead. Here’s What Comes Next.

It's kind of a bold statement, coming from a random guy on the internet, claiming that one of the (probably the biggest) digital presenting tools is dead. I know Im not the first one claiming this and other tools have had people opening the digital trashcan for powerpoint.

Short background

Recently I got the task to present to one of our customers how we work with AI and in particular how I work with AI in my role as a software engineer on one of their projects.

As default I turned to our trusted friend - PowerPoint! For like 2 minutes. Boredom hit like a semi-truck! Not another PP presentation, a guaranteed sleeping pill on a Friday afternoon. I wanted something more interactive, something more involving.

Enter Liivo

Liivo is a AI-powered app deployment platform, build on top of Eyevinn open source cloud (see links at the end). Liivo isen't just another AI subscription tool but you integrate it with your AI of choice.

The unique thing with Liivo is that you are up and running in no time! You have actually deployed your presentation on the internet for anyone to access.

Instead of creating a presentation in a presentation-only-tool, the modern way and how I see it, we create our presentations as webpages. In this way they are easy to share, easy to make interactive and only your imagination sets the limit. Add live feedback, clickable components, live voting and much much more.

My presentation

I did a presentation of my agentic team-setup in ~20 min, no coding, no setting up deploy, hosting or such. Just in plain language. See the result -> Here

Liivo and Open Source Cloud
