The single largest lever on TSS accuracy is not a check. It is data architecture. When product descriptions, commodity codes, EORI numbers, and party details live in one authoritative place, every declaration downstream inherits accuracy.
What Integration Looks Like
Start with the product record. Every SKU has a canonical description written to pass entry summary declaration rules, a current commodity code with a tariff freshness date, a country of origin and preference eligibility, and a weight and unit specification. Every declaration draws from this record rather than the commercial invoice.
Party records work the same way. EORI numbers, legal names, addresses, and role designations live at one address. Declarations reference them; they are not retyped. The TSS data entry integration guide sets out the reference structure.
What Changes Downstream
Transcription errors do not just reduce; they become architecturally impossible for the fields covered by the source of truth. The residual error surface is judgment work and edge cases, which is where human review belongs. Rejection logs shift from repeat mechanical failures to genuinely novel issues.
