WebXR category with Meta Quest 3 and old-school cardboards

Thanks to the Meta Quest Japan team we now have a brand new Meta Quest 3 device as the main prize in the WebXR category of the upcoming js13kGames 2024 competition starting August 13th.

This will be awarded to the best enty selected by our panel of dedicated experts, but it’s not the only prize in the category. Given the celebration of the thirteenth edition of the competition this year we’re giving away all the swag we have left from all the previous editions of the competition, including a whole 20 pieces of VR cardboard we had as prizes back in 2017!

Remember that the WebXR category offers “extra” libraries “for free” (outsize the zip size limit): A-Frame , Babylon.js , Three.js , and PlayCanvas. Keep in mind participating in this category exlude your entry from the overall results though as the libraries would give you an advantage over the entries not using them.

We can’t wait to see what you’ll build this year - good luck and have fun!
