Sirius Gameplay Reveal, PVP Arena Mode & Kickstarter Launch!

Hello again everyone! 👋

It's been a crazy week! After previously showcasing Aether (the 6-DOF movement framework powering Sirius), I'm finally ready to show off some sneak peeks directly from the Sirius Editor, along with a trailer for the actual game where my friends and I go around blowing everything up!

(Full gameplay trailer drops Friday, Oct 9th, 2026 on YouTube!)

Sirius Arena [PVP] – Launching November

Sirius will launch with Arena Mode first. This serves as the testing ground for early access feedback, allowing every tweak and balance change to directly shape the framework and the upcoming persistent mode.

Gamemode Ruleset

  • Simple Matchmaking: Direct queue-based joining with no skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). Pick your ship and loadout, ready up, and jump straight into battle.
  • Spawn Mechanics: Spawning consumes team spawn points. Neutralizing the enemy AI Carrier drains their points and limits respawns (though players can always choose to spawn as a carrier).
  • Module Damage Model: Inspired by War Thunder—ships are destroyed when key modules are destroyed, forcing a self-destruct or rendering the vessel unflyable.
  • Victory Conditions: Deplete enemy spawn points to 0 or hold the highest point count when the match timer expires.

Persistent Mode & Kickstarter

When the Persistent Mode launches, Sirius will be Free-to-Play with NO microtransactions or pay-to-win stores.

Depending on how our Kickstarter performs, funding will allow us to expand beyond 6-DOF ship movement and add:

  • Native Console & VR support
  • Advanced simulation mechanics and broader multi-vehicle support

Our Kickstarter for Aether / Kinetix + Sirius is officially LIVE for both developers and gamers!

Devlogs & Roadmap

I’ll be sharing a deeper promo log on the Persistent Mode next week. You can follow regular updates and devlogs on my website and YouTube channel to see how the game and underlying frameworks are built under the hood.

If you have feedback, ideas, or are working on a game of your own, drop a comment below—I'd love to hear your thoughts!
