We’ve explored different characters while working with PixAI Studio, and for this tutorial, let’s get creative with a Punk Skater OC.
His look is built around a rebellious skate aesthetic. He has long black hair with subtle dark-red streaks, usually styled with loose, faded shirts or drop-armhole tanks and worn-looking pants. His piercings and skateboard add to his signature appearance, while charcoal black, faded grey, dark crimson, and off-white make up his core palette.
Let’s turn those details into an underground skate brand concept called “Midnight Skate Club”. We’ll carry the character’s signature style, colors, and visual details throughout the AI merchandise design to make the collection feel cohesive.
Step 1 — Give Your OC a Sticker Makeover with “Come Closer”
A sticker sheet is a great place to begin building our Midnight Skate Club OC merch. Instead of designing every sticker from a blank canvas, we can save time by using an AI sticker generator and cloning an existing template. Here’s how to get the workspace ready:
- Open the official PixAI Studio workflow article and look for the Come Closer — Die-cut sticker sheet template. You’ll find it listed as Template 4 under Image Templates, Merch & Goods Series.
- Select Clone this template now to open the template workspace.
- Once you’re there, choose View process, then tap Clone workspace in the upper right corner. The cloned workspace should then appear on your canvas like this:
Now that we have the template, let’s swap its character for our OC. For those who already have an image ready, start by removing the default image nodes. Click Add node, choose Image, then select Upload an image. Add your OC image and connect that new node to the sticker sheet.

Working from a prompt instead? You can leave the original image nodes as they are. Just replace the default prompt with your OC’s details, make any setting changes you want from the toolbar, and press Generate. You’ll get 4 image nodes of your OC that you can choose from.
With our character sorted, let’s give the sticker sheet more of that Midnight Skate Club personality. I’m going for a stronger punk feel, so the “Midnight Skate Club” name needs to stand out. I also want a fresh pose, plus charms and extra visual elements that make the sticker sheet feel more connected to the theme.
The nice thing about the template is that we already have a prompt structure to work from. Instead of starting with a blank prompt, we can simply edit the existing one and plug in our character details.

I focused on a few key changes: the text, character pose, custom decorations, and the sheet’s background and grid. I also used PixAI Edit Pro to have more control over how each detail appears. Keeping the OC image as the reference helped maintain the character’s appearance and description throughout the generation process.
The final result shows how those prompt details came through in the sticker sheet. My favorite part is the text stickers. I didn’t give the prompt a long or specific description for every decoration, but the generator still understood the overall concept and added elements that fit the character’s style.
There’s plenty of room to experiment from here. You can switch up the OC’s outfit, hair color, or pose, or take the entire merch concept in a new direction. Adjust the details, generate again, and keep refining until your sticker sheet looks the way you want.
Step 2 — Put Your OC on a Phone Case with “By Your Side”
Now that our sticker sheet is ready, let’s carry the Midnight Skate Club identity over to a custom phone case. The idea is to make both pieces feel like they belong to the same OC merch collection, using the same character and visual direction.
Follow these steps to start:
- Open the official PixAI Studio workflow article and find the By Your Side — Phone Case Product Shot. You’ll find it as template 5 under the Merch & Goods Series.
- Select Clone this template now to open the phone case workflow.
- Once the workflow loads, click View process, then click Clone workspace in the upper right corner.
- The cloned workflow should now appear on your canvas like this:
Bring your OC into the phone case workflow by adding an Image Node and uploading the character image. Connect this node to the phone case image node in the template. You can also adjust the text in the default prompt box to better match your character. If you don’t have an OC image yet, simply click Generate and pick the result you like best.
With the character in place, we can start shaping the phone case design. The template already comes with a prompt, so there’s no need to build one from the beginning. Edit the existing descriptions, add the details you want, and adjust the concept until it matches the look you have in mind.
When everything is ready, tap Generate.
For this design, I kept the key features that make our OC recognizable. I also added a skateboard charm and chain to carry the Midnight Skate Club identity into the phone case. Some of the silver details and chain elements from the sticker sheet were reused here as well. That small visual connection helps the two merch pieces feel like they were designed as one collection.
Step 3 — Bring Your OC’s Style to Nail Art with “At Your Fingertips”
To complete our OC merch collection, let’s create a set of nail art that follows the same Midnight Skate Club style.
- Open the official PixAI Studio Workflow article and find At Your Fingertips — Character-Themed Nail Art under the Merch & Goods Series section.
- Scroll to the bottom of the template section and click Clone this template now to open its workspace.
- Once inside, click View process, then select Clone workspace in the upper right corner of your screen.

Let’s bring our OC into the nail art template first. As with the previous workflows, click Add Node, select Image, then choose Upload image and add your OC image. Connect the new image node to the nail set template.
For this design, I want the nail set to reflect both our OC’s personality and the visual identity of the rest of the merch. Charcoal and deep crimson will be our main colors, while cybersigilism patterns, silver chains, and metallic details add to the punk aesthetic. Since the template already includes a default prompt, we only need to edit it with descriptions that fit our concept.
I really like how the deep crimson works with the charcoal black, especially with the silver chain details. Those repeated elements also make the nail art feel like part of the same merch collection. I created another version using the same design with a different nail length as well.
You can experiment with yours too. Try different color combinations, add new decorations, or adjust your OC’s details to see how they translate into the merch design.
Complete Your OC Merch Collection
We now have a complete merch set for our punk skater OC, so let’s see how each design came together. All three follow the same aesthetic and personality, but the sticker sheet does the best job of capturing our OC. I especially like how the supporting stickers add details that feel connected to his character.
The shared color palette also helps tie the three pieces together. Charcoal, deep crimson, and the recurring chains and decorations create visual connections across the collection. Among the three, I find the sticker sheet and phone case more convincing as actual merch because they include extra details that make each design feel more customized. The nail set looks great too, but without the OC image and title, it could easily be mistaken for a simple deep crimson and black nail design.
My favorite is still the sticker sheet. The combination of the decorations, character placement, and overall composition gives it the strongest custom character merchandise feel.
