SAM.gov Registration & SDVOSB Certification — We Built the Automation Our Competitors Charge $5k to Do Manually

We're Outset Solutions LLC, a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Earlier this year a vendor quoted us $5,000 to help register our entity on SAM.gov and complete our SDVOSB certification through SBA.

We said no and built the tool ourselves instead. Now we're offering it publicly at $497 — one-tenth the competitor rate, same output.

What the $497 package includes

  • SDVOSB/VOSB eligibility audit against 13 CFR Part 128 — ownership (≥51%), control requirements, VA disability rating check. You get a full pass/fail report before filing anything.
  • SAM.gov UEI status check via the SAM.gov Entity Management API — registration status, CAGE code, expiration tracking.
  • GSA Entity Administrator Designation Notarized Letter — generated, formatted, and ready to sign. This document trips up most first-time filers.
  • Set-aside opportunity match — current SAM.gov solicitations filtered by your NAICS codes and SDVOSB/VOSB set-aside type, so you can bid immediately after registration clears.

Why do competitors charge $5,000?

They do it manually. They fill out forms by hand, track deadlines in spreadsheets, and charge hourly for work a well-built API client can do in seconds. We automated the compliance audit, document generation, and opportunity search. The output is identical; the overhead isn't.

Who this is for

  • Veteran-owned small businesses pursuing SAM.gov registration for the first time
  • Companies that want SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), WOSB, or HUBZone set-aside eligibility
  • Federal contractors whose SAM registration has lapsed and needs renewal
  • Prime contractors building a small business teaming network who need subs to get registered fast

The compliance frameworks we audit against

  • 13 CFR Part 128 (SBA SDVOSB/VOSB) — the one most consultants quote $5k to interpret
  • SAM.gov UEI + CAGE code lifecycle
  • SBA 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone eligibility indicators (if applicable)

SDVOSB set-asides are worth pursuing

The VA is statutorily required to award 10% of eligible contracts to SDVOSBs under 38 U.S.C. § 8127. DoD, DHS, and most civilian agencies have voluntary targets on top of that. Getting registered properly is table stakes for accessing that contract pipeline.
