I built LYM to solve a simple problem: I had Excel files full of trading results, but no quick way to see which strategy was actually working. So I wrote a Python CLI tool that reads the file and generates a clean report.
What it does:
LYM analyzes trading strategies from Excel files. It calculates win rates, reward distribution, optimal take-profit (TP) levels, and consecutive win/loss streaks — all from the command line.
Built with:
- Python
- Pandas & NumPy for data analysis
- openpyxl for reading
.xlsxfiles
What I learned:
Working with real Excel data in pandas taught me a lot about data normalization and building a CLI flow that handles missing files gracefully instead of crashing.
