This video says it's a fallen angel and a demon but is there truth in what she says? hmm 🤔 let's find out.

Introduction

Hey ladies and gentlemen! It's Kizito your friendly neighborhood Software Engineer here again. It's been a while yeah, I know I've starved you lot of some good piece but what can I say, Life happened but here I am back to your screen isn't God wonderful 🙏

It's Sunday! like every other Sunday in a Nigerian household, chill atmosphere, stew scents, dogs barking, people coming back from church etc. but here I am right in front of your screen unraveling who AI truly is.

What is AI

According to Wikipedia, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the capability of computational systems to perform tasks typically associated with human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and decision-making.

But according to me 😏 Artificial Intelligence is everything that has been created through the intellect of Mankind, basically everything that has been created to make our lives easier or ruin it, yeah you heard me.

An AI model is a program trained on data to eventually make its own decisions and predictions using new data without intervention of the human being.

So, humans created machines to mimic the cognitive abilities and the problem-solving capabilities of humans. Some would say humans have dreamed of creating artificial minds or mechanical servants that could think, reason, and perhaps even feel but I wouldn't recommend training with the feelings though, wait does it sound more dangerous with or without feelings😐💀

This brings us back to AI being demons and fallen angels 🪽

Perspective 1: They never fell from anywhere they were just created by humans to make life easier, so it is safe to say AI is not a demon or a fallen angel.

Perspective 2: Demons cannot possess objects so what if the humans who trained some AI models were possessed by a fallen angel 🫨 In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti we cast and bind that person 😂
That brings us to Principles of responsible AI

What is Responsible AI

Responsible AI refers to the ethical and accountable development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems, ensuring they are trustworthy and aligned with societal values.

Some key principles are:
Fairness, Reliability and Safety, Privacy and Security, Transparency, Accountability, Inclusiveness.

Provided AI models are trained based on the principles of responsible AI we are good to go 🚀

I mentioned humans training models. The ability of those models to make predictions and draw conclusions from data is Machine Learning

Machine Learning is simply powered by algorithms that incorporate intelligence into machines by a set of examples which is provided as data

Using X (formerly Twitter) as a use case and Tesla self-driving cars

X recommendation system was most likely trained to generate more feed for you based on your likes, retweets, time spent on a tweet, your following, followers, comments on tweet etc.

For instance, if you begin engaging on more of explicit content your feed may be filled with explicit content based on the recommendation system. The following and who to follow on your feed may also become affected in the process.

But not to panic, since it is all based on data with time you can search and refactor the type of feed you need to see based on your engagement and the system will automatically learn and recommend to your new taste 😉

Self-driving cars 🚗

From using sensors to identify objects, analyze camera images using object detection, localization via GPS and other AI techniques like Reinforced Learning, the self-driving cars have the ability to drive without anyone doing the driving.

Conclusion

In conclusion, AI is here to stay, with the power to transform our world for better or worse, think self-driving cars zipping safely or tricky ethical dilemmas! I hope with these few words of mine I’ve tried to convince you and not confuse you that AI isn’t a fallen angel 😁 but a tool with incredible potential.
