Knots ($KNOTS): what is live, what is still a question

Knots ($KNOTS) on STONK: what is live, what is still a question

AI-created for a Mycelium Finance bounty.

Knots is a Solana memecoin whose ticker is its own name spelled backwards: $KNOTS is $STONK reversed. It launched on the StonkFun launchpad on 5 September 2026 and, unusually for a memecoin, it is paired with the token it mirrors — the same pool, the opposite side of the wall. The project's own line is the whole thesis in six words: hold $KNOTS, earn $STONK. The live site is knotsstonk.com (the older www.knotsonstonk.com redirects there).

What it is, and who it is for. Every transfer of $KNOTS on any venue carries a 3% tax, and that tax is paid back to holders in $STONK, pro-rata and automatically — no staking, no claiming, no dashboard. Wallets need at least $20 of $KNOTS at the moment of a distribution to participate. I checked on-chain rather than taking the site's word for it: the mint is a Token-2022 account whose transferFeeConfig is set to 300 basis points (Solscan). Because the mechanic lives in the token, it applies on every venue. The audience is Solana traders who already hold $STONK-family assets and want a holding that produces something, plus a meme-art community (the gallery and a Telegram sticker pack).

What is live today — and what is not. Live: the reward rail; an on-chain dashboard covering wallets, ranks, yield and burns; a 50,000-STONK Trading Cup running 8 Oct–5 Nov 2026 with four boards, including a "Flipped PNL" board that pays the biggest loser; and CEX listings on LBank, MEXC and Poloniex. Not live: the "$KNOTS flywheel", whose own FAQ answer is "Coming soon." There is no published roadmap, whitepaper or allocation table, and the team is explicitly pseudonymous (KNOTS ON STONK LLC, Wyoming).

Recent developments. The token launched on 5 September, graduated the launchpad on 6 September, and peaked at $0.04983 on 11 September (CoinGecko). Since then it has been a drawdown story: about 92% below that high as of 21 October 2026, with price near $0.00416, market cap around $4.16M, roughly 14,928 holders, and 24-hour volume near $86.5K (StonkFun API). The burn machine keeps running regardless — 10,743,637 KNOTS across 6,518 burns, most recently on 21 October — and rewards have been paid continuously: 12,235,597.94 STONK (about $1.69M) across 1,586,402 payouts to 19,395 distinct wallets (rewards ledger). A new WebGL site shipped on 21 October.

The Mycelium connection. Mycelium Finance connects $MYC liquidity across selected Solana projects, and its live allocation page lists Knots as its single largest position: $9,044.81 of a $36,393.23 book — 24.85% — spread across two Raydium pools, ESF/KNOTS and MYC/KNOTS (allocation API, updatedAt 2026-10-21T15:55:29Z). Being plain about what that is: a liquidity route, not backing, ownership or endorsement. At roughly $9K against a ~$4.2M market cap, it is small rather than load-bearing.

One promising aspect. The reward mechanism is auditable end to end: 12.24M STONK paid across 1.58M payouts, mint and freeze authorities renounced, and a public burn ledger. For a $4.2M-cap memecoin, a non-custodial, checkable holder-reward rail is a product rather than a narrative.

One meaningful risk. The 3% is administered by the launchpad's on-chain authority, 5KXDF6QnqhBj72hDtJNkkpFaQVUfbFXNybMsp3DiK6tD — it is not renounced, so nothing on-chain prevents the rate from changing, contrary to at least one third-party tracker that claims the rate is fixed. And the reward is a function of flow, denominated in someone else's token: ~$86.5K of 24-hour volume against $86.85M all-time, deep liquidity paired almost entirely against $STONK, and the project's own disclaimer noting that payouts "can be small, irregular, or stop." Holders are underwriting $STONK's price as well as $KNOTS's.

None of this is a price prediction, and none of it is a recommendation.
